Audiation is the ability to mentally hear and understand music, even when it’s not playing. This course teaches audiation through the process of composing music. You don’t need to be a composer to take this course, but you will create a composition from scratch.
This course is perfect for musicians who want to enhance their understanding of music and improve their composition skills. Even if you’re not a composer, this course will help you audiate musical works and apply these skills in your musical journey.

The Four Stages of Audiation
The course is divided into four stages:
Stage 1: Laying the Foundation - Sets the groundwork for audiation and prepares you for more advanced work.
Stage 2: Diving Deeper - You’ll audiate two-part counterpoint examples while continuing to develop your composition.
Stage 3: Expanding Your Horizons - Starts the process of hearing three- and four-part textures, applying these skills to your own composition.
Stage 4: Mastering Composition Techniques - Deals with essential composition techniques as we aim to complete your composition using audiation.
I would like to invite you to take my Audiation Course and explore the depths of the audiation process. Before you enroll, please review the following prerequisites:
Basic Music Notation Skills: You should be able to notate and read music.
Note Recognition: You don’t need to know about chords or progressions, but you should be familiar with the notes in the treble and bass clef.
Instrument Proficiency: You should be able to perform music on an instrument by reading sheet music.
If you don’t have these basic skills, I encourage you to Schedule a Consultation with me. I can help you find the best options for advancing your musical journey, whether that involves taking my courses or exploring other paths.
