Learn to hear music in your head, and get what you hear onto the page.
Every course here is built on audiation: hearing music in your head the way you hear a sentence before you say it. Reading, ear training, and composing all get easier once that skill is in place.
Not sure where to start? The short version:
The Staff Speaks: The starting point if reading music is a struggle. You connect notes on the page to sounds in your head and get your first taste of audiation.
Flawless Ear Training: Fixes your ability to understand what you hear. You learn to identify and notate intervals, chords, and melodies by ear.
Composing Hour: Teaches you to create and shape music in your mind. Year 1 is audiation, Year 2 is counterpoint, Year 3 is form and analysis. Everything happens through sound, with no screens and no written assignments.
Recommended path:
If you can't read music, start with The Staff Speaks. Then take Flawless Ear Training and Composing Hour together. Get into the rhythm of Flawless for about a month, then add Composing Hour. They work on different things. Flawless trains your ear to identify what you hear. Composing Hour builds your inner hearing so more of the music comes from you. If you can already dictate what you hear, you can skip Flawless and start with Composing Hour.
Each course feeds the next, so you always know what to work on.
Guided, practice-based courses
These courses are guided and practice-based. They are intended to replace private lessons and go deeper than a weekly session can.
For the Serious Musician
These are academic-based courses that require students to complete work and study on their own. These courses are free to students enrolled in music composition lessons.

These are smaller resources that work alongside the courses. None of them are required, but each one solves a specific problem.
